GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Product #10 Cold Cure Epoxy Mortar Resin  is a 100% solids low-mod, low viscosity,  low temperature curing Primer and Sealer. It may be used as a stand Epoxy Mortar or under any of our epoxy products. It may also be combined with our Product #78 Self Leveling Filler to form a Low-Mod self leveling epoxy mortar, or it can be combined with Product #82 Mortar Blend Aggregate to form a trowelable epoxy mortar or epoxy concrete.  Product #10 Cold Cure Epoxy Mortar Resin is 100% solids with "0" (zero) VOC, which means it has virtually no order and will meet even the strictest low VOC standards.

Product #10 Cold Cure Mortar Resin is specially formulated for cold temperature applications. Epoxy.com Product #10 Cold Cure Epoxy Mortar Resin is able to cure down to 35°F. Epoxy.com Product #10 Cold Cure Epoxy Mortar Resin is often used in coolers and food preparation areas that need to be kept at a constant temperature. Epoxy.com Product #10 Cold Cure Epoxy Mortar Resin is frequently used at room temperature applications where a super-fast curing system is required.

SURFACE PREPARATION

Surface  to receive Product #10 Cold Cure Mortar Resin must he clean and sound. Remove all dirt, laitance, grease curing compounds and other foreign matter by sandblasting, mechanical abrasion, or acid etching. See Surface Preparation Guide for more information.  Remove water and dust from all surfaces with an oil-free blast immediately prior to application. Apply a thin coat 250-300 SF per gallon of Epoxy.com Product #10 Cold Cure Mortar Resin as a primer.  Broadcast with Product #77 broadcast filler at a rate of at a rate of 2 lbs. per square yard.

MIXING INSTRUCTIONS

Temperature of Product #10 Cold Cure Mortar Resin and Hardener must be 50° F or above at time of mixing. Stir each component separately before blending. Mix two parts by volume of Part A with one part by volume of Part B for three minutes with a low speed electric drill motor equipped with a mixing paddle.  

Trowel Grade Epoxy Mortar  

For a Trowel Grade Epoxy Mortar add up to 100 lbs of Product #82 Mortar Blend Aggregate per gallon of Product #10 Cold Cure Mortar Resin.

Self Leveling Mortar

For a Self-Leveling Epoxy Mortar add  1-3 parts by volume Product #78 Self-Leveling Epoxy Filler.

APPLICATION

Product #10 Cold Cure Mortar Resin can be applied with a squeegee, gage rake, or trowel. Finish surface with trowel. Prime surface to be patched with neat (no sand filler) the mixed of Product #10

LIMITATIONS

Use of solvents for thinning will prevent proper cure of Product #10 Cold Cure Epoxy Mortar Resin . New concrete must he 28 days old prior to application of  Product #10 Cold Cure Epoxy Mortar Resin. Temperature of substrate must be above 34° F. Works best if the substrate is above 40° F. 

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

Prolonged or repeated exposure may cause eye and skin irritation. If contact occurs, wash immediately and seek medical help. Use safety glasses with side shields and wear protective rubber gloves.

CLEANUP

All tools and equipment should be cleaned before the system gels. Use MEK, Acetone, or any lacquer solvent.

Mix Ratio 2:1 By Volume
Viscosity 600-750cps
Pot Life (200 gr.) 15 minutes @ 75° F.
Tack Free to Touch 2-3 hours @ 75° F; 14-16 hours @ 35° F.
Recoat 3-4 hours @ 75° F; 14-16 hours @ 35° F.
Light Traffic5-6 hours @ 75° F; 24 hours @ 35° F.
Final Cure 5 Days
