EpoxySystems'™ Flexible Epoxy

Product #32
100% Solids Flexible Epoxy Membrane & Mortar

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

EpoxySystems' Flexible Epoxy is a flexible resin used as an epoxy membrane and as a flexible epoxy mortar. EpoxySystems' Flexible Epoxy is a two component, 100% solids epoxy used as a base in many EpoxySystems' Flexible Epoxy Floor and Mortar Systems. Flexible Epoxy resists cracking caused by horizontal substrate movement, providing a crack resistant, resilient, sound absorbent, waterproof, durable floor.

EpoxySystems' Flexible Epoxy offers stress-relieving properties for floor slabs that show movement or vibration. Flexible Epoxy is excellent for use in areas such as mechanical equipment rooms, large animal rooms and activity centers.

ADVANTAGES

  • Crack Resistant - Elasticity Allows Substrate Movement

  • Ultimate Elongation of 100%

  • Moisture Insensitive

  • Reduces Noise Created by Mechanical Vibrations

  • Waterproof

  • Good Shock Absorption Qualities

  • Good Chemical Resistance

SURFACE PREPARATION

Surface must be clean and sound. Remove all dirt, laitance, grease curing compounds and other foreign matter by sandblasting, shot blasting, or mechanical abrasion. Remove water and dust from all surfaces with an oil-free blast immediately prior to application.

MIXING AND INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Application of EpoxySystems' Flexible Epoxy can be applied with brush roller or spray. When spraying back-roll to ensure good contact with surface. Two coats at a minimum thickness of 20 mils each (80 square feet per gallon) is recommended. Do not use in temperatures below 50 degrees F, as cooler temperatures delay hardening.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

Prolonged or repeated exposure may cause eye and skin irritation. If contact occurs, wash immediately and seek medical help. Use safety glasses with side shields and wear protective rubber gloves.

CLEANING

All tools and equipment should be cleaned before the system gels. Use MEK, Acetone, or any lacquer solvent.
